Welcome to my first short review of potentially useful websites, and I start with a lesser known but personal favourite site which I occasionally post for in ComputerSavvy.
What Does it Cover?
Computersavvy is a general computing blog that covers a wide range of topics ranging from The Latest Updates in Anti Virus Software to PSP game reviews.
What are its Strengths?
The site is normally updated daily and has a wide range of articles. If you want to check up on information on the latest news or issues with free applications and programs like anti-virus software, Messenger and FireFox it is well worth a look. There are also occasional reviews of survey sites, and updates on scams.
What are its Weaknesses?
The site lacks a specific focus, and it can be hard to find what you are looking for on it, especially if looking for an older article that you don’t know the name of. To put this into perspective Computersavvy has 15 Main Categories of article and over 100 Sub categories and given the disparate nature of some of the articles I feel that the site should be split into at least 2 if not more blogs/sites. This would help bring some more order and ease of navigation into the site.
Overall
Despite its organisational issues, Computersavvy is a very useful general computing site, and is partiuclarly strong if you are looking for information on the latest updates/bugs in free anti-virus software or other software that it covers.
